Joshua Levy is an American portrait and fine art photographer based in Baltimore, Maryland, with a passion for storytelling through imagery. His journey began in high school when he unexpectedly discovered photography in a required class. This surprising introduction opened his eyes to a new world--one where stories could be told and emotions shared through the power of a single image. In 2011, Joshua attended the Antonelli Institute in Philadelphia, earning a degree in specialized technology and refining his craft. College not only deepened his technical skills but also broadened his artistic perspective, igniting his passion for fine art and portrait photography. After graduating, he returned to Baltimore in 2013 to launch his photography business, combining freelance assignments with personal projects. Joshua's work delves into themes of loneliness, vulnerability, and intimacy, exploring the depth of human emotions both in his subjects and within himself. His fine art photography invites viewers to reflect, question, and connect on a visceral level, while his portraits aim to capture the unique stories and essence of each individual. In addition to his photography, Joshua now works for Sony as a technical representative. With over 15 years of experience in photography, he educates and supports individuals in mastering Sony gear, sharing his expertise and passion for the craft. Whether through his personal work or professional role, Joshua remains dedicated to inspiring creativity and helping others tell their stories through the lens.
